Niklas Luhmann-Archiv

The portal is part of the project “Niklas Luhmann – Theorie als Passion” (2015–2030), funded by the North Rhine-Westphalian Academy of Sciences, Humanities and the Arts. Bielefeld University and the University of Wuppertal work on it together.

It offers the transcribed and edited slip-box, facsimiles of manuscripts, indexes, and recordings of lectures and interviews. The whole collection holds about 90,000 cards, and new data is still being added.

In my articles

In the first part of my second brain series, I send readers to this portal to see Luhmann’s actual cards.
